Hi, I’m Julie!

I’ve always been a sentimental person and looking back at old journal entries and photographs bring me back into that moment, to remember how I felt and who I was with. My love of photography started with disposable cameras and I loved those exciting moments of opening the packages of prints. This dream came into reality when a friend of mine asked me to photograph her wedding in 2013. That was the start to this beautiful journey and I honestly feel so lucky to be in love with my job.

I understand the pressure of wedding planning.

There are so many details, the lists are endless, and deciding on who to choose to capture all those details and memories for years to come sounds stressful and intimidating! That’s why I believe choosing the right photographer for your day should be a simple, easy procedure. One of my couples asked me, “What does it feel like when someone chooses to hire you for their day?” I do a happy dance (in my head of course 😉), I feel SO honored! I feel like a part of your family! Every couple and wedding day are different and I love being able to capture the best day of your life surrounded by your loved ones! I am emotionally invested into your day so there is a good chance I will cry during your first look with your dad, as you promise your life to each other, your first dance, and laugh during the best man’s speech.

With 100+ weddings of experience, and having worked with multiple photographers as a second shooter and an assistant, I am well organized and well informed in how a wedding should flow. Not only am I the photographer for your special day but those tiny details are my jam, so if I notice you’ve got some stray hairs flying about, don’t worry! I’ve got a travel size of hairspray in my bag! Don’t know how to fold a pocket square? I’ll search Youtube for a style you like and I’ll fold it myself! I keep things like bobby pins, elastic bands, safety pins, and a lint roller in my bag in case of emergencies because I like to be prepared!

I know how important each wedding day is so I am all in. 100%.

I am 5’ tall, my husband is 6’2”.
I can thank my mama for the height deficiency.
I married my best friend on a rainy day in June 2016.
Marriage is seriously the best.
I became a mom in the summer of 2022.
Our little guy is the sweetest.
I grew up on a farm with over 6000 pigs.
Forever a country girl at heart.
I lived in Austria for 3 months for Bible School.
The mountains there are unbelievable!
I love dogs.
All of them, big or small.
I love to watch reruns while I edit.
Always on repeat: FRIENDS, The Office, Brooklyn 99, & Gilmore Girls.
I love to travel and see new places.
