schladming: sulzenhals hike.

we hiked up a mountain to a cross and the 360 view was incredible. even though it was super cold and windy. it was definitely worth it.

schladming: hike up to the guttenberghaus.

on friday afternoon, i decided that i would hike up a mountain that was a 2.5 hour hike and up 800m. my legs are definitely feeling it today. me and two other girls were the last of our group to make it up and i think we did it just under 2.5 hours. at the top we were 2134m high. some others went higher up the mountain but my legs answered that question for me. it was beautiful day yesterday and well, the view was worth the 5 blisters on my feet.

hike up to riesachsee lake.

on saturday morning, we hopped on a nice charter bus and took a half an hour drive to the mountain that we were going to hike up. this hike had to be the hardest hike i have ever done. but it was so pretty. many waterfalls, steep stairs which turned into ladders. my legs are definitely sore right now. luckily, we didn't have to hike back down but we had a long afternoon at the top. we climbed 1338m to get to a lake at the top. some people jumped in but i just stuck my fingers in and took lots of pictures.

schladming: gondola ride up the planai.

ever since i got here, i have looked out my window everyday and said to myself, "before i leave school, i want to go on those gondolas." the other day, one of the girls said to me, "i really want to ride on the gondolas!" and i was like oh my goodness me too! and just like that, we got 6 of us to go up on the gondolas that afternoon. and i am so glad we did. it was a beautiful day. the sky was blue and the sun was out. i couldn't stop taking photos the whole time. the mountains were unbelieveably beautiful. it looked like a bob ross painting. we are planning on going up again when it snows. yes, i am very excited.

schladming: hike up the river.

i have now done this hike/walk three times and probably will do it a couple more times while i'm here. it is such a beautiful hike. the river is beautiful. sometimes i would just stop, and look at the river. not take any pictures but just to take it in and enjoy it. basically, every turn you take in austria just doesn't stop being beautiful.
